Julatten does not have any public transport and therefore it is paramount that a car is rented.
                         
We are located on Rex Highway between Mossman on the coast and Mount Molloy. Our rural fire brigade number is 1605 Rex Highway, Julatten. We also display a blue sign depicting the entrance. As you drive through the entrance you turn left immediately and go along a graded road for approx. 1.5 km. The retreat is situated on your right hand side opposite Mt Perseverance Road.

Drive north along the Captain Cook Highway, passing the Port Douglas turnoff on your right.  Drive north for approximately 8.5 kms and turn left at the Mount Molloy turnoff (sign posted as Mount Molloy & Mareeba).  Continue along this road for approximately 16 km.  You will go past Euluma Creek Road, Clacherty Road (both on left), and drive past Mt Perseverance Road on your right hand side.  Continue for approximately 1.2 km until you see a blue sign ‘Sunbird Retreat’ (on left hand side).  Follow as above.

Approx. 50 minutes north of Mareeba. From  Cairns turn onto the Kennedy Highway (Savanah Way) and head to Mareeba. Drive through Mareeba town and head north on the Peninsula development Road. Drive through Biborha and Mount Molloy. Go over the rifle Creek bridge and turn right towards Julatten. This is the Rex Highway. Go along this road for a further 12 km. You will pass the Barramundi Gardens, Julatten Highlander and Carr Road on your left handside. Travel for a further 1 km before you will see our entrance to Sunbird Retreat. Follow as above.
